Life is like an old record with a loop button pressed. The hustle and bustle from nine to five, the monotonous fast food, and the unshared dusk – these fragmented daily routines piece together the ordinary picture of most people’s lives. In those days filled with anxiety and exhaustion, I always felt that a bright spot was missing from my life, and my heart was filled with the regret of the gap between my yearning for an ideal life and reality. It was not until I met that single three-headed sunflower, which bloomed in a unique posture, that I quietly smoothed out the wrinkles in my heart and rediscovered the light in my ordinary life.
Take it home and put it in the white ceramic bottle by the bedside. Instantly, the entire room is illuminated. The first ray of sunlight in the morning shone through the window and fell on the petals. The three flower heads looked like three little SUNS, refracting warm and dazzling light. At that moment, I suddenly realized that ordinary days could also have such a brilliant beginning. I used to always complain that life was too monotonous, repeating the same routine every day, but I overlooked that as long as I discovered with my heart, there would always be unexpected beauty waiting. This sunflower is like an envoy sent by life, using its uniqueness to remind me that there is no need to be obsessed with the poetry of the distance; the small joys before our eyes are also worth cherishing.
With its brief but brilliant blooming, it has injected new vitality into my life. It makes me understand that the poetry of life does not lie in the distant and unreachable places, but in every moment before our eyes. At some corner of life, there will always be unexpected beauty that heals those minor regrets and illuminates the path ahead.
